Whether the doctor told you to use a BP Monitor or it is your personal decision to do it, it will help you get better control over high blood pressure.

Now the first thing you must do is find a BP Monitor that perfectly fits all your needs.

One thing you can do is ask your doctor which one is more suitable for your situation. The doctor will tell you about the Omron or the DR Trust BP Monitor.

These brands are one of the most trusted brands in the Indian market because of their incredible accuracy.

In this article on Omron vs DR Trust BP Monitor, we will compare both brands, so you have all the knowledge you need to make the right choice.

But first, let’s talk about their specifications and features so you can have a mild idea about both products. For this article, we have chosen the Omron HEM 7120 and DR Trust iCheck AFib.

DR Trust iCheck AFIB

This digital BP Monitor uses oscillometric technology to measure your Blood Pressure. It has a wide cuff that can be quickly wrapped around the upper arm to test blood pressure. The cuff is washable, so no need to use a dirty cuff anymore.

It shows your systolic and diastolic blood pressure along with your heartbeat.

The large screen is easy to read; it especially helps the older people who have a problem reading small texts. The date and time are also displayed with the user identity.

The most fantastic thing about this DR Trust BP Monitor is the ability to detect Arterial Fibrillation early. Arterial Fibrillation or AF can be very dangerous as it can lead to blood clots, heart failure, and stroke.

This BP Monitor can detect AF while measuring your blood pressure and inform you of any problems.

Omron vs. DR Trust BP Monitor – Comparison

So, now that we know both BP Monitors, we can compare them and see which one stands out as the better one.

We will compare them on some points that everyone sees before buying any BP Monitor.

Accuracy

For improving accuracy, Omron HEM 7120 has an IntelliSense feature that inflates the cuff just the right amount so you can get the perfect results.

Omron HEM 7120 also has an irregular heartbeat detection system that can detect the slightest change in a heartbeat so you can always have the most accurate testing.

As for the DR Trust iCheck AFib, there are two modes in which you have the choice to take one testing, or you can get an average of three readings.

The accuracy is unquestionably fantastic, and the AFib mode also has some other benefits as well. With the irregular heartbeat detection system, DR Trust iCheck AFib allows you to test your blood pressure without the possibility of any errors.

Omron is the most trusted brand in terms of accuracy, even from the doctors. So, in our opinion, Omron is the one if you want the utmost precision.

Ease of Use

Omron always tries to make a user interface that can be used by any person. So, you will see a medium-sized display with systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate signs.

You will not have any problem reading or understanding the measurements. With that, you also have a start/stop button to operate the BP Monitor.

Now DR Trust iCheck AFIB has the upper hand here for so many reasons, the first and foremost is having the bigger display. You can read your systolic and diastolic blood pressure along with your pulse rate.

It also has a WHO indicator that can tell you the severity of your blood pressure readings. You can see if your blood pressure is above or below the dangerous levels.

DR Trust takes a slight lead here by having the memory and average buttons and the power button. These buttons make seeing old readings a much better task.

So, our point for ease of use goes to DR Trust iCheck AFib.

Affordability

So, for this point also the DR Trust takes the lead as it comes with almost the same features as the Omron’s BP Monitor but at a low price.

DR Trust iCheck will cost a little less than Omron.

Now both BP Monitors warranty on them, but Omron also offers its customers lifetime support so that it may cost you at first, but it will all be worth it.

Keeping that thought in mind, we must choose one, and that can only be the DR Trust iCheck AFib because it comes with so many amazing features at such a low price.

Features

Omron HEM 7120 BP Monitor has some fantastic features that make testing your blood pressure very easy and convenient, but DR Trust iCheck AFib also allows you to keep track of your health with accurate testing.

With irregular heartbeat detection, robust sensors, and hypertension indicator, Omron BP Monitor gives you the most accurate results and informs you if there is a problem.

All the new Omron BP Monitors come with the IntelliSense technology, which allows you to inflate cuff as much as needed, so no pressure or pain during the test.

DR Trust comes with a WHO indicator and irregular heartbeat detection. You can ignore errors and be informed of any problem with your blood pressure.

MDI technology helps test the blood pressure painless and fast.

Both BP Monitors seem to be having the same features as each other, but DR Trust is some points ahead in this category because of the AFib mode and memory feature.

Conclusion

We can compare every product based on their features, advantages, and disadvantages of buying them, but only users can identify what is best for them.

So, the decision is yours now as you must choose which BP Monitor will suit your lifestyle and health management more.

  1. Hi,
We bought the Dr. Trust digital BP monitor in Dec 2020, and till then we’re using a wrist measuring monitor.
When we started to check my BP after a lapse of 15, 20 days, the diastolic reading showed way down 20,25 points when compared to the wrist measuring monitor.
We didn’t contact the seller immediately, but when we contacted a bit later, they said one month period for return had already expired.
After convincing them that we didn’t start to use immediately after purchase, they asked us to take a video of three consecutive readings. On seeing the readings they argued that the three readings are not much contradictory !!
When the diastolic reading is way down 20, 25 points when compared to wrist measuring monitor what accuracy can this newly bought Dr. Trust’s monitor warranty to a buyer ?
As such we feel cheated and disheartened at their service, unwilling to accept a basic error in the configuration or whatever .

  2. Let me make it very simple for people to select the best. Go for Omron without any doubts due to below reasons compared to drtrust
    1) No service centres in India except in Punjab for drtrust. This means that you have to courier the product at your own cost.
    2) inefficient Customer care/ service centre – you need to record the video and share it through whatsapp for drtrust. Lot of time is spent in this process and though you have registered the product the same info is requested again in WhatsApp to send the product details.
    3) No reviews in drtrust.in website for consumers to provide a honest review of the product. I have purchased drtrust but not sure where will my review be publsihed
